We took baby A down to the farm to scope out the pumpkin patch and winterize the fuchsias for Mike and Roz. My lil'pumpkin looks so cute in her Peru sweater! (Unbeknownst to JakeBob I bought it 1 1/2 ago for "our" little bebe when we went hiking through the Andes. He probably would have dropped dead at the thought of raising a wee tot then, and look at us now. That kind of forethought has a bit of Audrey Anne energy, no? She bought baby Ashton all her Central gear years before we were even thinking about becoming parents! I have to say thank you now. :)
She's definitely going through another "Jake phase" this week. I can't believe how much they look alike to me. Especially when they were "hunting" for strawberries. Ashton has her Poppie's eye for detail. We might have a rock hound on our hands. Let's just hope she doesn't collect and catalog bones and decaying animals in her bedroom like Jake did when he was much younger. I'd prefer flowers and berries instead. Lola, maybe you can help coach her in the right direction, eh?
