This week
Asthon did her first sign language to communicate with me. I almost teared up. Okay, I did. I swelled with pride actually. While she's been working on waving bye-bye, which is very close to the single-hand sign for
neh-
neh, it was clear that she wasn't waving good-bye to me. She did the sign for milk, said "Ma Ma Ma" and dove at my zipper. Okay, chest!
Ahhhh, who doesn't love a girl who knows what she wants and just how to get it?
On Tuesday morning I mentioned it to Karol and asked her to watch for other signs. On Wednesday Karol said that when the kids were eating "Big Zoe" said "More Please" and Ashton started doing the sign for more and shaking her head.
Since then she's only done both signs a few more times for me...but I know she's getting it! It's so much fun.

Doesn't she look so cute in this little dress that G-Mum gave her?

WOW- love your stories.... looks like V-day turned out to be PERFECT! So much love...
Its sooo cool to see Ashton so contently sitting outside in the sun by herself. I just remember seeing pictures of Jake and I doing the same thing at her age, completely satisfied being engulfed in our little wonders of nature. So cute...
LOVE YOU!!
