Playdate with Mason

Mason invited Ashton over for a little playdate on Saturday. The first few photos show Izzi putting "her" shoes on. She's rather fond of all my shoes these days. I wonder how that one will play out when she gets older. The fun little quirk to this outfit that you can't see is that she wouldn't leave the house without her flower panties, so perfectly placed on top of her pants. Thank goodness for long dresses, eh?

Mason was really excited to show Ashton his new room. With baby Rapelje due this April, Linsay has been busy rearranging things. His favorite "toy" is the cardboard box his lounge chair came in under the Christmas tree. He's made it into quite the fort. He kept calling for Ashton (An-I in his own words) to join him, but Izzi liked his barn and books far too much. While the two play together everyday, it was fun for Linsay and I to actually see them interact. I often ask Ashton how her day at preschool goes and she'll say things like, "Mason, choo-chooo," so I know they have fun together. Mason is quite the dare-devil/athletic climber. He does stunts I could never imagine Ashton attempting, until I turn my back and she's at it. Linsay called this morning to tell me Mason kept picking up the toys Ashton played while calling out her name. I'm glad the two are good friends.
