We wake up and have our coffee outside in different places in the yard each day. On this morning we found two deer nibbling on our raspberries. Since then, Izzi has grown quite protective of the fruit. She'll even pick the green ones just so the four footed friends can't have 'em first.
We've been frog hunting everyday--and finding them in the most peculiar places. Who knew my rain coat would be a favorite hangout? Our tadpoles are sprouting arms and legs now too. Ashton gets a real kick out of watching them grow.
After our trip to Seattle to spend time with cousins Wren and Fisher, friend Ea and cousin Mila we rushed home to make it to one of my student's dance recitals. Izzi has been talking about the ballet ever since. Today in the car she told her baby that she was going to take her to the ballet. I'm glad it made such a positive impression on her.
And finally....more frogs. Frogs on her shirt--"two cuz I'm two, right Mama?" and one that she is trying to get to climb on her finger like a bird would. Ashton thinks if she slowly puts her finger near it the small frog will just walk on for a little ride, but it inevitably leaps out of reach. At least she is gentle, no?
