Nine Months

Ashton's nine months old. We had her "well-check" with Dr. Weller on Friday. At Izzi's six month appt. he predicted that she might slow down a bit on the height spectrum, and he was right. In her monthly b-day shots she is in the same pants that she was wearing at four months (which are sized 6-12mos.) At any rate, she measured in at 27 7/8 inches (the 60ish%)...remember at six months she was 27 1/2 inches (the 95%). Wow. She has packed on some more pounds though. She is now 19lbs, 12oz...the 60ish%.

I think the second photo catches my little buddha best!
She loves to pull her socks off and pick up her feet. I don't know how she keeps her balance, but she manages to do this without falling over nine times out of ten. Her favorite trick in the car is to (again) pull off both socks and then grab both feet in her hands and pump her legs to the music. For those yogi's out there, this is also known as Upavistha Konasana. Another one of her favorites is Eka Pada Kapotasana, or pigeon Pose. I keep waiting for her to rock from this to table-top to crawl. Not yet.

In the last photo she is signing more. She wants "more" of everything these days.

Ashton's little personality is most certainly blooming. She definitely has things that she wants and things that she doesn't want. She's in love with her books. After her appt. this time the nurse came out and let her choose a new book. She had the option of "Sleeping" or "Eating" and since she usually gets the "good eater" award, we guided her to "Sleeping," as that could use a bit more work.
