We started the morning with our usual books followed by some music time before eating, napping and starting all over again. The weather is finally looking a bit more like spring, so we went outside to tend to our garden, our last lonely chicken and some of the herb beds. My effort to weed didn't last long. Just sitting on the blanket with my baby soaking up the sun was much more appealing. Anyways... I took the afternoon shots in our lawn laughing in the sun. I can't wait for summer!
Aunt Nancy made this really cute en Vogue dress that is just adorable. Baby A will be able to wear it for awhile, which is great because I think she'll really flaunt the style better when she's toddling around.
This is her "bird" sign. Any time she sees or hears a bird she goes crazy pointing and signing her favorite animal so far. This week she added another animal to her repertoire--"fish." Now anytime I say it or point she adds the sign language. It's so much fun to "see the light go on" when she makes the connection. Ahhh, my little linguist already!
I set up a little table of sorts for her to practice standing. She's really enjoyed moving around it tapping her toys. While she has her own little version of scooting around the house she really hasn't crawled proper for us. Who knows, she may just go straight to her feet. We'll see!
Bring out the sun glasses--'tis the season.
This week she has taken to pointing at everything. This pic has the FW gangsta highchair lean and far off look that cracks me up. It will be nice when she starts signing more "practical" words beyond "more please." As for now she just grunts and points and smiles and laughs or whines to let me know her level of satisfaction. Ahhh, parenting just keeps getting more and more fun!
