Snow Days

We had an unexpected foot of snowfall grace Sequim on Monday the 22nd of November. Consequently, we didn't have school on Tuesday or Wednesday leading into our Thanksgiving break. Ashton was excited to get out and play in the yard, but like most children, her favorite thing about the snow was incessantly licking it--obviously not my favorite thing as her parent. How does one stop their child from making snowcones? We went over to Sydney's on Wed. to break up the day. It didn't take long before the girls found the icicles on the rain barrel, and well, you can guess what they did with them.

Ashton wanted to walk down to the farm and check on the chickens and peacocks. It was all fun and games until her fingers and toes got cold. Then our afternoon changed quickly as you can see below.
"I'm soooo cold Mama!"

I'm glad the girls have so much fun together.
