Kiddie Christmas Party

We had our annual kiddie Christmas exchange this year on the 18th. The kids draw names and get to pick out something special for that person. The ladies get to eat and socialize. It's a win-win situation.

We met in the studio again this year. The wind roared and snow teased our morning, but it didn't bother the kids who love to attack the musical instruments taking up residence on the stage. Above Mason, Ashton and Sydney are playing a number on the piano.
Ainsley was a good babysitter with the wee tots (Jack, Finley and Ian) on the rug.

Heather, Randi, Linsay (holding Finley), Laura, very pregnant Shannon, Sarah and Izzi sitting around the table enjoying our brunch feast.
 A little more drumming.....
 Peyton goofing around a bit.....
And the exchange begins. We've found that most kids aren't patient enough to open their gifts one at a time, so we pass out the packages, sit on the rug and let the chaos begin.
Izzi drew Ainsley, and Ian drew Izzi.......
I was glad Ainsley liked the necklace & bracelet set,  doctor's kit, potty book, shin guards and bag Ashton picked out. (We had fun at the local consignment store).
I was delightfully pleased that while other kids opened crazy gizmos and whatnots, Ms. Isadora read her new book from cover to cover after opening it. She didn't even look up to see the other wheelie-gig's. There was no jealousy, or tears......just a nice, peaceful celebration before heading to Seattle for party number two. Tyler turned 30th, so we all gathered for hors d'ourves and cocktails to toast my brother.
