We started to plant the garden this weekend. The soil is amazing thanks to our chickens working it over this winter (and Poppie man-handling the machine). I don't think we'll need to call Jadyne for rescue assistance this year. We found some organic starts at the nursery, and will follow up with seeds to stagger the harvest. I'm excited to sip tea under the poplars, read from my kindle and harvest lunch from our garden this summer.
Ashton sang a hybrid mix of "Farmer and the Dell" and "BINGO" to the plants as we nestled them into the earth. These two tunes are her favorite this month.
