Jake left last night to play music at Daminana's Wine Bar and about thirty minutes later Ashton informed me that she too was "going to play the guitar, okay?" After trying on every shoe combo possible and finally settling on her own boots she made a fun game of peek-a-boo where she'd say,
"Okay, bye mama," shut the door and wait for me to knock. 
I can't believe how authentically surprized she was each time I appeared in the window. She'd laugh and giggle and then rush to open and shut the door.
