We started the process of making wine in the autumn of 2006. Steve and Randi had just found out that they were pregnant and we all joked that it would be ready after she delivered. It took a little longer than that. We let the
Syrah age nearly two years. Turns out, we finally got to bottle it now that Ashton is into her third month and Sydney in her thirteenth. It was fun to get the
families together and finally get the wine out of the barrel and into the bottles. The process of bottling took much longer than we thought it would, but the end product is all the same--delicious. We can't wait for a harvest party to break out the big jugs.

Sydney was a big helper getting the bottles out of the box while Izzi monitored my measuring.
Don't worry. It is not as bad as it looks. Contrary to what you may be thinking, and to what I first thought, this is not wine on my baby's toes. It is lint from her socks; however, I know it is only a matter of time for these things. Hahaha.
