Izzi's two month appt.

We had Ashton's two month appointment yesterday. It's hard to believe my little baby girl is growing up so fast. It seems like only yesterday we were in the delivery room. The summer is rapidly evaporating, and I often don't quite feel ready to turn over a new leaf this fall at work. As for now I am treasuring every moment with my peaceful baby girl. A couple of months ago I could barely imagine what my life would be like with her and now I can't imagine my life without her.

Doctor Weller says Izzi is in the 98% percentile for height (who knows how long that will last, as Jake and I are not incredibly tall). That explains why all her onesies are pulled tight around her shoulders to reveal a little baby cleavage and her pants are loose around the waist but look like she's waiting for a flood. She goes through so many new phases each day and I'm just trying to soak it all up. (I've seen my friends celebrate their daughter's one-year birthdays and know that I shouldn't blink or I'll miss something.) Today I was holding her as she was sleeping and she broke out into the cutest little fit of laughter. I wonder what she was dreaming about, but ultimately feel so grateful that she is a happy baby.

Anyhoo, more updates on the darling later. Much love to all wandering through this site.

WOW, Sis and Bro!!! We read this blog from top to bottom and MARVEL at the beauty in that little life. Keep up the tremendous photos- she is a very easy one to photograph it seems. I am proud and honored to have you three as my dear family. Thanks for putting the work into starting a blog too, Chel! Love sent to all you three!
